# NFT Mint Process

## NFT Minting in the Presale and Drops

**Drift Derby** offers a wide variety of **NFTs** that players can both **buy** and **earn**, each with distinct in-game benefits and unique features. Some NFTs offer valuable gameplay advantages, while others provide exclusive **cosmetic** options to showcase your style in the game. To cater to different player needs, we have structured our NFT offerings into three primary categories: **Customization Schematics**, **Cars**, and **AI Agents**.

1. **Cars**\
   The **Car NFTs** are the cornerstone of Drift Derby’s gameplay. These cars are fully playable in all game modes, with each car offering different stats, performance capabilities, and special abilities. Players can collect a wide variety of vehicles, from classic designs to futuristic, performance-enhancing models. Rare **Legendary** and **Elite Car NFTs** will be available during the presale, giving players a distinct advantage in races and events.
2. **AI Agents**\
   AI Agents are a special type of NFT that allow players to **earn DRIFT Tokens offline**. These agents race in tournaments and multiplayer modes on behalf of the player, accumulating rewards even when the player is not actively playing. As a result, AI agents are particularly valuable compared to traditional customizations. The more skilled and rare the **AI Agent NFT**, the higher the potential for earning passive rewards through races. AI agents can also be tailored to suit the player's strategy, with each agent coming with its own set of unique attributes and abilities.

## **NFT Purchase Boxes**

To give players greater flexibility and allow them to tailor their purchases, we are offering **NFT Boxes** for **Cars**, and **AI Agents**. These boxes give players the option to buy a **randomized** NFTs from a specific category, ensuring that their collection evolves according to their gameplay needs. The contents of each box will vary over season but follow the same structure.&#x20;

When you open an NFT box you will only be able to unlock an NFT that you have **not** already unlocked from the box. If you have all the NFTs it will randomly choose an NFT based on the predetermined odds. This will require player to only need to buy a certain amount of boxes to guarantee they unlock every possible option available from the box.&#x20;

* **Car Boxes**: Each **Car Box** will contain a randomized car NFT, ranging from common vehicles to rare and exclusive cars. The rarer the car, the better its stats and potential gameplay advantages. Each car will have various customisations attached to it. These customisations can be unlocked permanently for you account by burning the NFT and choosing a Customisation Schematic to unlock.&#x20;
* **AI Agent Boxes**: These boxes offer a chance to unlock powerful AI agents with varying levels of **rarity** and **performance capabilities**. AI agents with higher rarity will have better stats, enhancing your passive earning potential. These boxes are particularly sought after by players looking to maximize their earnings while they’re away from the game. *AI Agents require an NFT car to be entered into races.*&#x20;

### **How the Minting Process Works**

* **Presale**: During the presale, players can mint their NFTs directly by purchasing one or more of the above mentioned boxes. These NFTs will be linked to their wallets, giving them immediate access to the benefits within the game. Some limited-edition NFTs will be exclusive to the presale, providing early adopters with unique and valuable assets that can’t be obtained later.
* **Drops**: In addition to the presale, we will be holding **regular NFT drops**, where players can purchase NFT boxes that are randomly generated. These drops will occur periodically and feature special thematic collections, seasonal exclusives, and rare assets not available elsewhere.

Each NFT has been designed to provide value within the Drift Derby ecosystem. Whether you're looking for a cosmetic upgrade to show off your style, a powerful car to dominate the competition, or an AI agent to earn passive rewards, there’s something for every player. The variety of NFTs available ensures that players can build a unique and valuable collection while enhancing their gameplay experience.

Additionally, because these NFTs are **fully tradable** on secondary markets, players can **sell**, **buy**, or **trade** their items with others in the community. This opens up a dynamic, player-driven economy where NFTs hold real value beyond just in-game use.
